A search for variability in the hot hydrogen-deficient star BD + 10 deg 2179
The discovery of pulsation in the hot, extremely hydrogen-deficient starBD + 13 deg 3224 has prompted a search for this phenomenon in similarstars. In this paper, spectroscopic and photometric observations of BD +10 deg 2179 made during 1979-82 are presented. No significant variationsare found and a previously reported period in the range 0.162-0.164 dayis not seen in any of the data sequences.
